During a period of many changes to Part E, the acoustic requirements of the Building Regulations, it is important that designers and builders can rely on products and information from trusted sources.
To help in the specification and construction of buildings, leading aircrete block manufacturer, Thermalite, has re-launched its already popular Part E guide, containing updated information about the regulations and how to comply.
The overall aim of the amendments is to introduce more robust standards to improve soundproofing between and within dwellings and to incorporate hostels, hotels, residential homes and schools into the regulations. Thermalite’s new brochure offers a comprehensive guide to the upgraded requirements and illustrates solutions to meeting Part E performance standards using Thermalite products.
Paul Reed, Head of Marketing for Thermalite, commented; “Unwanted sound, particularly in dwellings, has been an increasing problem in the recent past. At Thermalite, we recognise the importance of delivering solutions that satisfy both the Building Regulations and the requirements of the builder and building occupier. “
