Eternit Building Materials has responded to the requirements of the roofing market in the north-east and launched a new natural slate ... that is also proving popular in other parts of the UK!
The Navia 23, in a traditional grey colour, joins the existing Navia 11 and 21 and boosts the company's entire natural slate portfolio, comprising the Heritage, Classic, Cabrera and Navia ranges, from 10 to 11.
Sourced specifically for specifiers, contractors and merchants in the north-east who wanted a slim and smaller but quality slate, the Navia 23 is 5-6mm thick, available pre-holed and in two sizes - 400mm x 250mm and 500mm x 250mm, and is guaranteed for 30 years.
The 400mm x 250mm slate size is traditionally the most popular in the north-east, making Navia 23 ideal for new-build and especially RMI in the domestic and commercial sectors, and it has already gained widespread distribution in the region.
Specifiers in other regions such as East Anglia, where smaller sizes are also desirable, have expressed interest and the slate is gaining further distribution.
Eternit Building Materials' marketing manager Mike Wood said: "We were delighted to be able to source this new slate for the north-east market and even more so when customers in other regions also showed an interest."
