DuPont Africa recently participated in Afribuild - one of the leading construction exhibitions for customers, planners, designers, architects, surveyors, geologists, builders, constructors and general contractors - in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Growing at 6 percent annually, South Africa is driving opportunities across the construction industry. The local government is investing substantially in infrastructure development throughout the country and continent, including the transport infrastructure in preparation for FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) 2010 World Cup.
DuPont, in conjunction with Marshall Hinds (Pty) Ltd, demonstrated the benefits of DuPont™ Corian® as a durable and versatile solid surface for check-in counters. Strong interest was generated by customers and architects associated with national infrastructure projects.
"Afribuild provided an excellent opportunity to gain exposure for Corian® and promote DuPont as an international construction solutions provider," said Ray Bonser, manager, DuPont Surfaces, Sub Saharan Africa.
