Members of the building and construction industry are expected to rush hardware stores this morning to get their hands on the first in a range of new, limited edition, retro styled tools. Bucking the trend towards electric tools and laser sights, the high quality tools from start up company Slooflirpa, revive an era in construction where craftmanship was king. The first tool to be released is a fully portable, high quality hammer.
The two piece hammer has a head forged from a single piece of steel and a carved wooden handle. Keeping with the simple high quality theme the hammer has no outrageous markings allowing the owner to personalise the tool by stamping the head, or by burning or writing their name on the handle. With no cords to be tagged or batteries to charged, the hammer can be used immediately and downtime is expected to be minimal.
The hammer will be available in all good hardware stores immediately and can be used with all third party brands of nails. Matching cordless nails are expected to be released to the marketplace at this time next year.
