Moen Incorporated has improved the inner workings of more than 300 of its kitchen faucets to provide easier installation for builders, as well as quieter kitchen faucet operation and improved functionality for homeowners, satisfying the needs of both builders and consumers with grace and ease.
All Moen one handle, two handle, pulldown and pullout kitchen faucets will now feature Hydrolock(TM) quick connect installation to improve the ease and speed of installation, with no tools required. An extra-long 68" fiber hose with ball swivel joint is included on all new pullout and pulldown kitchen faucets for ease of use, quiet operation and extended range of motion. A retrofit kit is available for existing Moen pullout and pulldown kitchen faucets.
"At Moen, we constantly are looking for ways to improve the design of our faucets -- not only from the outside, but from the inside as well," said Jerry Capasso, Moen's wholesale bath product manager. "These new kitchen faucet enhancements position Moen as the only manufacturer offering a fiber hose with ball swivel joint on all pullouts and pulldowns."
Patented by ITT Industries and used by automobile original equipment manufacturers, the Hydrolock installation system is Moen's solution for connecting pullout hose and water lines to a new faucet with ease.
Hydrolock snaps together with a tell tale click so the installer can be assured the connection is secure, with audible, visual and tactile confirmation. It allows for an easier and faster installation of faucets, reduces labor time, eliminates the possibility of cross-threading during installation and eliminates the need to use tools to attach the water line to the faucet. Hydrolock's dual internal o-ring seal prevents the possibility of leaks.
