Windows Plus, LLC announced that it will be the first window retailer in the U.S. to offer the PEARL® permanently installed escape and rescue ladder. As one of the top home improvement companies in Virginia and Maryland, Windows Plus, LLC will provide a free PEARL escape ladder with every minimum purchase of windows through the end of February.
While PEARL has long been offered by homebuilders and building product suppliers, Windows Plus, LLC is PEARL Protected’s® first partnership with a window retailer. Windows Plus, LLC sells and installs a variety of state-of-the-art replacement windows, doors, siding, exterior window treatments, capping and gutters. Unlike many of its competitors, the company is actively involved in educating homeowners about window and home security through seminars, workshops and partnerships with local fire and police departments.
“A lot of our home security focus has been on preventing home invasion. However, preventing intruders is only half the battle. It’s equally important for homeowners to be able to transform an upstairs window into a safe escape. First introduced in 2005, the PEARL - Permanent Escape And Rescue Ladder provides residents with a safe, easy to use escape option from upper story rooms in the event of a fire, home invasion or other emergency. Unlike portable escape ladders, PEARL is recessed into the interior wall space beneath second or third story windows, providing homeowners a readily-available means of escape. The ladder can be deployed quickly and easily using a simple Open, Throw and Go!® technique – open the window, throw out the ladder and go to safety.
