HousingEconomics.com Redesigned and Relaunched

HousingEconomics.com, the online economics information resource published by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), recently unveiled its new, more user-friendly interface with upgraded features. Produced by the NAHB Economics Group, the newly redesigned Web site provides subscribers with the latest housing forecasts, market trends, in-depth economic analysis and archival data relating to the housing industry.

"With a changing housing climate, it is more critical than ever to have the most up-to-date housing data and economic analysis," said Brian Catalde, NAHB president and a builder from El Segundo, Calif. "HousingEconomics.com now offers even more resources and information than before, and serves as an important tool to help navigate the current housing market."

Some of the features that HousingEconomics.com offers include:

  • Calendar of release dates of important economic data from NAHB, U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Census Bureau.
  • "Builders' Forecast" -- an easy-to-navigate section that includes the most current state and metro, multifamily, remodeling and long-term forecasts.
  • "The Seiders Report" -- a monthly overview and analysis of the housing market by NAHB Chief Economist David Seiders.
  • "Executive Level Forecast" -- a more in-depth monthly forecast of economic activity, inflation, and interest rate and housing activity that includes historical data with annual and quarterly forecasts for all indicators.
  • "Remodeling Forecast" -- history and a 10-year forecast of remodeling expenditures in downloadable Excel tables along with analysis.
