BuildDirect, the leading online wholesaler of building materials, has launched a patented line of granite countertop kits from Pedra that eliminates the traditional hassles associated with installing granite countertops in single medium to large-sized kitchens.
Buying and installing granite countertops traditionally involves several steps which add up to great expense: once the granite slab has been purchased, it needs to be sized to meet the dimensions of the cabinets, after which professional contractors need to cut and install it. Pedra granite countertop kits can be installed without the need for onsite fabrication or professional installers and are therefore specifically suited to the do-it-yourselfer.
"BuildDirect strives to lead the way in bringing unique and innovative products to market, and these kits are great examples of that effort," said Jeff Booth, President and CEO of BuildDirect. "Pedra granite countertop kits are easy to use for anyone aiming to add a stylish look to their kitchen at an affordable price."
Until now, granite has not been widely available in precut kits with easy shipping and installation in mind. Pedra's kits are developed for installing granite countertops in a single, medium to large-sized kitchen. Their patented design that includes:
- backsplashes
- specific kits for corners and angles,
- finished edges on all tile, ( ½" thick with 1 ¼" edge)
- packaging designed to be self-contained by section; end sets, corner sets and intermediate sets of three different varieties.
"The careful detail that has gone into packaging reduces the risk of breakage of the granite countertops during delivery and installation," said Jeff Booth. "We have ensured that this product is reliable as well as easy to use."
With the new Pedra granite countertop kits and other innovative products such as the Kontiki Deck Tiles, and Lang Aluminum Railing Systems, BuildDirect is setting the standard for the do-it-yourself market and offering a wide range of innovative new products for retailers and distributors to consider.
