Visitors to the House of Innoventions exhibit located in INNOVENTIONS at Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort will discover ground-breaking products from Kohler and Ann Sacks that create not only an amazing bathroom environment, but incorporate great design and technology as a means to improve the level of gracious living in the home.
"Kohler is delighted to have the opportunity to share our most recent technological advances in the bathroom in a venue as dynamic and interactive as the House of Innoventions," said David Kohler, executive vice president - Kohler Co. "Visitors to this exhibit will be able to experience how technology has been seamlessly integrated into ordinary bathroom products such as the shower and toilet without compromising excellent design." The display of Kohler and Ann Sacks products will be on exhibit in the INNOVENTIONS East pavilion which is one of two buildings that house the over 100,000 square foot interactive playground at Epcot.
Visitors from around the globe are able to discover how new breakthroughs in science and technology simplify and enhance their lives today and in the future.
Kohler Co., a global leader in kitchen and bath design and technology, has outfitted the "bathroom of the future" with its KOHLER DTV custom shower system - a thermostatic valve and intuitive digital interface that provides several customized shower experiences utilizing multiple showerheads, hand showers and bodysprays - all controlled with a slight turn of a wheel and a touch of a button similar to the functionality of a MP3 player. Showcasing the versatility of the KOHLER DTV are six 22-nozzle WaterTile bodysprays and two WaterTile Rain overhead showerhead panels which incorporate four individual WaterTile sprays into the design.
"Kohler's innovative and interesting line of bath products allow anyone to incorporate a spa atmosphere into their own bathroom," said Katie Roser, senior set decorator - Walt Disney Imagineering. "Our goal with this project is to inspire our guests to try this in their homes."
The iconic KOHLER Hatbox toilet is also found in the bathroom and offers a sleek, "tankless" design and powerful and reliable flushing performance. Additional KOHLER plumbing fixtures and faucets round out this beautifully appointed bathroom.
Ann Sacks, a leader in inspiring designs in tile, stone, plumbing, lighting and accessories, provides an exquisite finishing touch to the House of Innoventions bathroom with Cappadocia porcelain floor tile and Erin Adams Triple Basketweave glass mosaic tile for the walls. Cappadocia takes its inspiration from the warm, natural limestone of the Anatolian region near ancient Constantinople and the fabled city of Troy. Erin Adams Triple Basketweave creates a warm artistic aesthetic that employs a wealth of luminescent colors to take glass mosaics to new heights.
