Minister for Housing and Planning Yvette Cooper, has appointed Stan Hornagold to the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation (LTGDC) Board. This appointment has been made following a public advertisement and an independent recruitment process regulated by the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
Lorraine Baldry, Chair of the LTGDC Board said:
“Stan is a well known figure in the Thames Gateway in both the private and public sectors. I am delighted he is joining LTGDC as there is huge scope to apply his expertise to accelerate the delivery of some of our most complex assignments.”
Judith Armitt, Thames Gateway Chief Executive within Communities and Local Government said:
“Stan Hornagold has been a Gateway advocate for a number of years and he’ll be a welcome addition to the LTGDC Board. I’m sure Stan will draw on his wide range of regeneration experience to make valuable contributions to the way the LTGDC operates in delivering our vision for the Thames Gateway.”
On hearing the news Stan Hornagold said:
“There has never been a better time to be involved in regeneration and I am delighted to join a strong Board and an experienced team at LTGDC, which will really make a difference to the environment and amenities in their part of the Thames Gateway.”
