Merlin Housing Society today announces the award of a £70 million improvement programme contract that will see residents’ homes improved over the next 5 years to meet the Government’s decent homes standard.
Of of two succesful contractors, Connaught will work alongside the Merlin Works department to deliver the programme, which includes new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, rewires, and various other external works.
Operations Director Andy Graham said: “We’re excited to be working with contractors of this calibre who have such expertise in the social housing area.
“Our residents deserve well-equipped homes that they can be proud of and we’re looking forward to involving them in how the improvement programme is carried out. This is the first step on the way to making their lives better and delivering on the promises made to them at transfer.”
