Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. provides a cost effective ozone air and water sanitation/disinfection process for the construction industry. The North Clayton, Ohio community is a "LEED'ing" (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Community. While LEED is advancing in the commercial community, the residential development community is just beginning to incorporate some of the LEED principles. Still in the development stages on its guidelines for residential development, they have been working with a local LEED-accredited engineering firm to review development standards and implementation drawings as they vie for national pilot project status. Their goal is to build a LEED-certified development as well as build several LEED-certified facilities, which will make them a leader in the community and provide an additional tool for their residential and commercial builders.
Clarence W. Karney states, "Using the Produce Safety & Security water and safe food processes, issues of Food-Borne Illness will be reduced and removed. The PDSF cost effective use of ozonated water for the homes and businesses will provide a safe green environment. The North Clayton program consists of 500 homes and 600,000 square feet of commercial space as stated in their brochure. The first installation is planned for mid-September 2007."
