The latest addition to the range of Crompton Lighting architectural luminaires from Cooper Lighting and Security is a semi-recessed modular fitting that combines efficient, louvre-controlled lighting of the working area with the visual comfort of indirect ceiling illumination. Known as Bali, the new luminaire has been designed to satisfy the latest guidelines for the lighting of offices where VDTs are used.
The luminaire's distinctive suspended optical assembly provides direct lighting from a central louvred section, while indirect high-level lighting is produced by a recessed diffusing reflector and perforated curved panels on the sides of the assembly. Held securely in place by high-quality die-cast aluminium end caps, the optical assembly has a depth of only 114mm below the ceiling.
The Bali luminaire features a powder-coated RAL9010 white finish and is suitable for use in exposed 'T', concealed fix, Burgess spring 'T' and metal pan ceilings.
Offering a light output ratio of 72%, the luminaire is supplied with two 24W 4000K Coolwhite triphosphor T5 lamps and a 65-degree Xenoptic anodised-aluminium satin louvre, which is retained by positive location shootbolts and fitted with hanging straps for hands-free relamping.
