University of Surrey Host Annual Architecture Lecture

The University of Surrey and The Guildford Society cordially invite members of the media to the inaugural Annual Architecture Lecture to be held at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12 at the School of Management Lecture Theatre. The lecture will be given by Christopher Nash, Managing Director of Grimshaw, who will give a talk entitled ‘Perspectives on Architecture: Global Responses’.

Christopher Nash is currently Director in charge of Stansted Airport Generation 2 Masterplan, Bournemouth Winter Gardens, and perhaps most interestingly the Cutty Sark conservation project. He has also been involved in the design and construction of many of the buildings on the University of Surrey campus. In addition to his active involvement in projects, he is also responsible for the strategic planning of Grimshaw business worldwide.

The lecture marks the start of Architecture Week 2007 which runs from 16 to 23 June and which features an exhibition, lunchtime talks and guided walks, including on at the University on Sunday, June 17 at 3 p.m. which will examine the varied architecture on campus.
