Owens Corning today announced the introduction of a range of Cultured Stone(R) manufactured stone veneer products to the European market. The products will be available through a distribution network throughout eastern and western Europe.
"The recent acquisition of The Modulo/ParMur Group, a market-leading producer and distributor of manufactured stone veneer in Europe, paved the way for the expansion of Owens Corning's Cultured Stone(R) products into Europe," said Chuck Stein, president of Owens Corning Cultured Stone. "The acquisition provided synergies in manufacturing and technology that will extend value to customers around the world and position Owens Corning to capitalize on the global growth of manufactured stone veneer products."
Owens Corning is a world-leading producer of manufactured stone veneer products. The Owens Corning Cultured Stone(R) brand is the most recognized, most used and highest quality brand of manufactured stone veneer in the United States.
Cultured Stone(R) products deliver value to customers by offering a broad product portfolio of aesthetically appealing alternatives to other exterior- cladding materials. Manufactured stone veneer products are more cost-effective and weigh less than traditional materials, which offers design flexibility to architects, builders and homeowners.
Cultured Stone(R) products are manufactured stones using a lightweight concrete material cast in molds taken from carefully selected natural stone. Cast from thousands of molds, no two stones are ever reproduced with the exact same coloring. Today, Owens Corning offers more than 21 textures, 100 colors and countless blended texture and color options for interior and exterior applications.
In 2006, Owens Corning acquired The Modulo/ParMur Group, manufacturer of Modulo(R) and ParMur(R) brand of interior and exterior decorative wall claddings, as part of the company's continued global expansion of the Owens Corning Cultured Stone(R) business.
