ClearSpan™, division of FarmTek®, the leading manufacturer of industrial fabric structures, has launched ClearSpan Fabric Structures International, Inc. to provide customized building solutions for large scale, engineered, steel-frame and tension fabric buildings, up to 200 feet wide. Tension fabric structures are increasingly becoming the building choice of many industries, especially the agricultural, equine, storage, aeronautical, commercial, sports, public works, marine and horticultural industries. The building's popularity stems from its unique features: natural light, clear-span space, fast construction and reduced utility costs. ClearSpan and its affiliated companies manufacture and ship direct to their customers over 10,000 fabric structures and greenhouses each year.
"ClearSpan Fabric Structures International is the natural outgrowth of our success with manufacturing industrial fabric buildings -- an answer to increased customer demands for large truss arch steel frame and fabric covered buildings," said ClearSpan President and CEO Barry Goldsher.
Fran O'Kane, an industry leader in structural steel and industrial fabric structure manufacturing, has been appointed General Manager. Previous to joining ClearSpan, O'Kane was eastern regional sales manager for Allied Tube and Conduit, a division of Tyco.
"I look forward to the rewards that come with directing ClearSpan's growth, the most important being to provide customers with an economical building made out of the best materials available, one that offers many advantages over traditional wood or steel," said O'Kane. He continues, "we work directly with customers on all building phases and do not use sub-contractors or dealers. By using this method, we control the building process and ensure quality."
