From Recycled Newsprint To High Value Thermal Insulation

Natural Building Technologies (NBT) has just introduced a new loose fill cellulose fibre insulation made from recycled newsprint. With a thermal conductivity rating of .040Wm/K, Warmcel100 improves upon the cellulose insulation previously held by NBT and has over 12% greater thermal performance than traditional insulation.

Other benefits are that the insulation is environmentally friendly, non-itchy and non-toxic. It is also treated against fire, is highly durable and helps to control moisture levels – particularly useful in older buildings. Warmcel 100 is supplied in 8 Kg bags (enough to cover 2.2m2 at 100 mm thick). It is ready to use, quick to install and, as loose fill, always fits properly. It can also be used as ‘top-up’ insulation to cover gaps in existing batt or blanket insulation.
