Pilkington Launch New Improved Website

Pilkington has launched an improved website for trade customers which now offers an area designed exclusively for householders.

Customers will find easy access to information on Pilkington products by visiting www.pilkington.co.uk/trade and can direct homeowners looking for information on the benefits of added value glass in their homes to www.pilkington.co.uk/householders.

At the click of a mouse, customers can find the Pilkington product that best suits their requirements, its benefits, and where they can buy it.

Building Products - UK Marketing Director Matt Buckley said: “The improved website is the culmination of a great deal of work by our development team, who have revamped the site, giving access areas to key customer groups. Both trade customers and householders can now locate information specific to their requirements in seconds, making the whole process as easy and informative as possible.”

The key requirements for improving the site were to make it easy to navigate to the information required and to contain plenty of useful information. The navigation has been solved by incorporating addresses for each requirement. For example the Building Products - UK section is now easily accessed at www.pilkington.co.uk with clearly laid out links to the most frequently used part of the site.

The main part of the site is the extensive Product Directory where information is set out according to its benefit, its application, its brand name and its performance hence a number of ways of choosing the right product. Each product page can be addressed directly such as www.pilkington.co.uk/kglass and links are available to its most appropriate applications and to details of brochures available.

Brochures may be downloaded for further information or can be ordered directly from the Pilkington Helpline. In addition important specification tools such as the Pilkington Specifire and Pilkington Spectrum are available on-line and the latest information on building regulations affecting glazing can be reviewed. So log onto www.pilkington.co.uk to familiarise yourself with what is available and save it to your favourites!
