Schüco Steel System Passes Severe Weather Test

Schüco International, Europe’s leading supplier of profile systems for windows, doors, facades and conservatories, have announced that the Jansen VISS curtain wall system has successfully passed the CWCT Standard Test Sequence B. The test proves the system can withstand severe weather conditions up to a maximum design wind pressure of 2400Pa. The system also passed a discretionary hosepipe test and demonstrated exceptional air tightness with less than 10% of the allowed air ingress.

Designed for use in both fire and non fire rated applications, the Jansen VISS series is a fully insulated steel curtain wall system and both doors and windows can be incorporated into the system. It has the benefit of narrow sightlines which minimise the obtrusion of mullions and transoms and the new Linea and Delta profile designs give more architectural freedom than traditional rectangular profiles.
