Quality Of Life And Sustainability Versus Economic Growth And Consumption

Left wing think tank, the Fabian Society has released a report, “A Better Choice of Choice” arguing that the Government move to tighten the amount of choice available to the consumer in order to produce greater quality of life and environmental sustainability.

The report gives a range of examples but the basic premise is that regardless of how many brands of toothpaste, furniture styles or cars that are available to individuals, they cannot choose public services such as clean air, uncongested streets, sustainable agricultural systems, safer communities or good schools.
