Skanska Awarded Contract to Build New Academic Health Science and Research Center in Evansville, USA

Skanska has signed a contract with Evansville HealthRealty to manage the construction of its new Multi-Institutional Academic Health Science and Research Center. The contract is worth USD 41M, about SEK 340M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Civil in the second quarter 2016. Located in downtown Evansville, this four-story, 13,000-square-meter facility will house medical education programs for Indiana University, the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana. A simulation center, dental clinic, amphitheater, clinical research area, teaching classrooms, offices and surface parking are also included in the project.

Construction began in June 2016 and is slated for completion in February 2018.
