The new standard for what consumers can expect from bathroom and kitchen fixtures will be raised during the 2006 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (K/BIS). American Standard and Porcher have set the bar high with new products that have unexpected features that provide added performance to make life better for consumers.
From toilets and faucets that help keep themselves clean to whirlpools that are designed to be more relaxing and comfortable, it's all on display at McCormick Place Convention Center today through Sunday.
"These new products display our commitment to making life better in the bathroom and kitchen for consumers," says Jeannette Long, director of marketing communications, American Standard. "With exclusive technologies and new innovative designs, we want consumers to see how American Standard has put ingenuity to work for them."
Here is an overview of what's new from American Standard and Porcher at K/BIS (Booth 3231).
Cadet(R) 3 Toilet
The new Cadet(R) 3 toilet combines the latest toilet technology from American Standard with the popular look of the Cadet series of toilets.
This model features EverClean(TM), a permanent, antimicrobial glaze that inhibits the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew on exposed surfaces. The Cadet 3 also features American Standard's newest flushing system, Flush Right(TM), which provides a quiet but powerful flush every time. And with its SpeedConnect(TM) Kit, the Cadet 3 takes 30 percent less time on average to install.
Evolution(TM) Whirlpool
The new Evolution series of whirlpools features exclusive jet technology, a worry-free warranty and the deepest soak available to give consumers a more relaxing, comfortable and affordable hydrotherapy experience. The whirlpool features ComfortJets(TM), which are flush against the tub, making them more comfortable and easier to clean. The Evolution whirlpool also comes with a limited lifetime warranty that includes free in-home service.
EverClean(TM) Faucets with SpeedConnect(TM)
With EverClean(TM) faucets, just one wipe effortlessly removes even dried-on water spots and other dirt. The permanent finish is available on a wide range of existing American Standard faucets. These faucets also feature the new SpeedConnect(TM) drain, which is not only easy to clean, but also the simplest drain in the industry to install. With one-third of the parts, installation takes one-third of the time.
EverClean(TM) Antimicrobial Toilet Seat
The EverClean(TM) toilet seat features an antimicrobial coating that shields against the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew. The toilet seat saves consumers not only time with less cleaning, but also money since there's no longer a need for costly, toxic cleansers.
The EverClean finish is permanent and the toilet seat fits all conventional elongated and round-front toilet models.
Reliant(R) 3 Bathroom Faucet
The Reliant collection of faucets has been restyled with more stylish and comfortable features. The Reliant(R) 3 faucet has an ergonomic handle and higher lavatory spout with easier reach. And the faucet is designed with sleek curves giving it a clean and modern look. The Reliant 3 faucet comes complete with the EverClean finish and SpeedConnect drain.
One(TM) Faucet Collection
The new One(TM) collection features a contemporary, minimalist design characterized by sleek, straightforward lines. The One collection includes a center set and widespread-style vessel lavatory faucet, a single-handle monoblock, as well as a one- and two-handle wall-mount faucet. There is also a showerhead and deck-mount tub filler. The faucets are all available with the EverClean finish.
Tropic(TM) Faucet Collection
This new collection of faucets features fluid lines accentuated by a high arc spout and a flared mouth that delivers a graceful and smooth water stream. The collection includes a center set faucet, bidet handle, showerhead, tub faucet and deck-mount filler. The faucets come complete with the EverClean finish and SpeedConnect drain.
Dazzle(TM) Bathroom Accessories
This new collection of bathroom accessories is designed to coordinate with the popular line of Dazzle(TM) faucets and bring a touch of feminine elegance to the bath with gem-like detailing and clear glass elements. The accessories include a wall-mounted soap dish holder, tumbler/toothbrush holder, 24-inch tempered-glass shelf, 18- and 24-inch towel bars, a towel ring and a robe hook.
Cascada(TM) Furniture Collection
The new Cascada(TM) furniture collection stays true to traditional American design with clean, simplistic lines. With Cascada, consumers have storage options that allow them to keep bathroom necessities out of sight, yet in easy reach. The Cascada collection includes a vanity, mirror, stool, wastebasket and floating shelf. The vanity is designed to coordinate with the Newbern(TM) sink and countertop.
Porcher(R) Tetsu(TM) Collection
The new Tetsu(TM) collection, named after a Japanese word meaning "peace," is a line of contemporary modular furniture from Porcher(R) that features exotic natural woods from Africa and the Orient. The collection comes as wall-mount units featuring cabinet doors that open to reveal large and small mirrors, built-in towel bars and self-closing drawers. The Tetsu line also includes a relaxing chair with built-in storage and a removable cushion that flips over to become a tray. A full-length dressing mirror and a wall-mounted candle box are available as well to create a true spa-like experience.
