Lucideon, the materials technology company, has extended its construction services in the US and entered into collaboration with North Carolina State University (NCSU).
The partnership will provide the construction experts at Lucideon with access to the Structural Systems Laboratory, part of the Constructed Facilities Laboratory at the Centennial Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In addition to Lucideon’s specialized laboratory facilities in Schenectady, New York, clients will now have use of a 4,500sq ft reaction space where large-scale structures can be tested. The arrangement also facilitates contact with knowledgeable NCSU faculty staff that specialize in fibre reinforced polymers, conventional and high strength concrete, steel, masonry and timber, amongst other materials.
Lucideon is keen to expand its activities in the US and especially so in the construction industry. We have a great deal of expertise in Schenectady; however we need a partner in order to offer the same scale of activity that we can offer in the UK.
NCUS offers exactly that with a range of expertise and large-scale testing facilities. NCSU is also perfectly placed in relation to our newly opened offices in Raleigh, where we would like to grow our activities.
