NCC has been commissioned by Haninge Bostäder to construct the Kalvsvik property block, comprising 229 rental units, in Jordbro, south of Stockholm. The apartment buildings will be located centrally, close to a shopping center, a commuter train station and green areas. The order is worth SEK 299 million. The southern part of Jordbro was built during the 1950s and up to the 1970s and currently mainly comprises rental units in multi-family dwellings.
“We are gratified to be able to make a positive contribution to the development of Jordbro by constructing fine new buildings and a number of new rental units at the same time,” says Christoph Vejde, president of Haninge Bostäder AB.
The new rental apartments will be built in six- to eight-story point blocks in sizes ranging from one to three rooms with separate kitchens. All of the housing units will have an open plan layout and be equipped with a balcony or a patio.
“Together with Haninge Bostäder, we have found solutions that improve living conditions in the area and provide tenants with fine housing units that are functional, have low energy requirements, a good indoor climate and are made of excellent materials,” says Henrik Landelius, Head of NCC Building Sweden.
NCC will begin its work by summer 2016 and the block will be fully complete by January 2019. The first tenants are scheduled to move in during summer 2018.
The apartments will be rented out via Haninge Bostäder’s apartment queuing system, BoPlats Haninge.
The transaction will be registered during the first quarter of 2016 in the NCC Building business area.
