The Weitz Company, a national full-service design and construction firm, is pleased to announce the completion of the $161 million LifeCare®community Trillium Woods in Plymouth, Minn. The community was developed by LCS Development and is managed by Life Care Services, both LCS companies.
“The Weitz Company did an outstanding job for us on this project,” commented Kent Larson, EVP-Director of Development for LCS Development. “Their strong senior living experience was critical in their delivery of this high end project and it really shows in the quality workmanship throughout – all accomplished in a very busy construction market.”
Trillium Woods is a Life Plan Community located on approximately 46 acres. The approximately 500,000 square foot facility consists of a 50,000 square foot commons building, 58,000 square foot health center building, and three independent living buildings totaling 392,000 square feet.
The two level commons building includes a swimming pool, auditorium, spa, multiple dining rooms and numerous other amenities with high-end finishes throughout. The three level health center building contains 44 memory care and skilled nursing rooms, support areas, laundry and maintenance. The independent living buildings contain 195 apartments, each detailed with their own custom resident selections and underbuilding parking. In addition, there are 14 detached townhome residences in seven separate buildings. Each townhome residence has its own attached double garage.
In addition to serving as the construction manager for the project, Weitz also provided supply chain purchasing services for steel, windows, appliances, cabinets and specialty materials used during construction.
“We are very pleased with the Trillium Woods project and want to thank all of the team members for their outstanding efforts. The construction of the community was made possible through hundreds of individuals utilizing their unique talents to create a beautiful home for the residents of Trillium Woods. The happiness and excitement displayed by the community’s residents at the grand opening celebration was outstanding,” said Dave Rahe, Minnesota Project Executive, The Weitz Company. “Congratulations to Life Care Services on the opening of their latest Life Plan Community.”
Life Care Services serves as the community’s manager. The company manages more than 132 senior living communities to serve 34,000 residents nationwide.
