GEICO is proud to add to its long-time support of Cradle Beach and the mission to serve disabled and disadvantaged children of Western New York. To help expand the Cradle Beach campus and services, GEICO pledged to donate $250,000 over the next five years to build "GEICO Lodge."
GEICO Lodge is envisioned to be a year-round center, designed to house Cradle Beach programs and participants. The lodge will be fully equipped with sleeping quarters, a kitchen, and meeting space.
The GEICO Lodge addition will allow Cradle Beach to significantly increase the number of children the organization is able to serve. With the additional space, more deserving children will have the opportunity to experience the Cradle Beach summer enrichment camp and its other special programs.
"GEICO has been in support of Cradle Beach since opening its Buffalo office over 10 years ago," said Rick Hoagland, regional vice president. "We are excited to continue to expand this partnership through the GEICO Lodge project. Once complete, the lodge will be a great resource for families with disadvantaged and special needs children in our community."
GEICO Lodge is expected to break ground in 2016. "GEICO Lodge is going to become a point of pride at Cradle Beach for generations of children to come," said Tim Boling, Cradle Beach CEO. Both GEICO and Cradle Beach are looking forward to the expansion and the exciting changes it will bring.
