Applications Invited for RIBA Research Trust Awards 2006

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring 7 research projects in 2006. The RIBA Education Department is now inviting applications for the following RIBA Research Trusts Awards 2006:

The Modern Architecture and Town Planning Trust:

  • 1 award not exceeding £10,000
  • 3 awards not exceeding £5,000 each

The Historical Research Trust:

  • 2 awards not exceeding £4,000 each

The RIBA LKE Ozolins Studentship:

  • 1 award not exceeding £12,300.00 (£14,300.00 in London) per academic year for a student registered on an Architecture PhD, MPhil or MRes degree.

The Modern Architecture and Town Planning Trust and the Historical Research Trust are aimed at a specific group for a closely defined piece of architectural research and is not available to pay course fees and subsistence costs whilst enrolled on PhD/MPhil programmes. The primary objective of the RIBA LKE Ozolins Studentship is to provide one annual studentship to a student who wishes to pursue, or continue, or complete a degree in research (PhD, MPhil or MRes).
