Sports Field Holdings, Inc. (SFHI) (the "Company"), an innovative product development company engaged in the design, engineering and construction of athletic facilities and sports complexes, today announced that the Company was awarded a contract from Gilman School in Baltimore, MD to refurbish its Championship Game Stadium Field.
After a comprehensive search, the selection committee at Gilman School came to this decision based upon their excitement around the Company's turf solution featuring industry-leading Replicated Grass™, which mimics the high blade density of natural grass, improving surface longevity, athletic performance and safety.
Gilman School is one of the top private preparatory schools for boys in the U.S. The school ranked 23rd in the 2015 National High School Football preseason power rankings and is a nationally recognized school of academic excellence. As stated by Tim Holley, Jr., Gilman Director of Athletics, "What distinguished SportsField Engineering throughout the decision making process was their unending commitment to standards of excellence in collaboration with the Gilman community. They provided superior customer service with the sole purpose of providing Gilman the most innovative, quality based playing surface for our students. We can't wait to play our first game on it."
"We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with the outstanding team at Gilman School. This field will serve as a showcase for our Replicated Grass™ turf product in the Mid-Atlantic region and we believe this project will be the first of many to come in and around the Baltimore area. To be selected by such a prominent institution, considering the level of competition and scrutiny applied to this project is truly an honor," said Jeromy Olson, Chief Executive Officer. "We take pride in the fact that Gilman School placed their trust in our team and look forward to delivering what we believe is the best product and most professional service in the industry today."
