Building Energy Inc., creator of the Building Energy Marketplace™, and Allumia, a leader in lighting-as-a-service financing, today announced a strategic partnership in which Allumia has committed $20 million of lighting-as-a-service for energy efficiency projects qualified by the Building Energy Marketplace through 2016.
Building Energy also announced the general availability of its data-powered marketplace for energy and water efficiency projects. For the first time, building owners and service providers can identify the best opportunities, be provided with the best funding for their projects, and track the projects' operating results through the life of the new efficiency measures.
"Allumia is the kind of capital provider that has been needed in this industry," stated Magnus Cheifetz, Building Energy CEO. "Allumia uses real-time, metered data to provide lighting-as-a-service for commercial building lighting retrofits, and this eliminates the capital expense barrier owners face to improve their buildings," Cheifetz added.
"Building Energy's data-powered marketplace for efficiency projects is a game-changer," said Aaron Block, Allumia CEO. "By connecting us to opportunities that are already qualified and then keeping the project engaged throughout its life, Building Energy is an end-to-end solution that makes it simple to deliver the proof that backs up our promises."
