NV5 Wins Bridge Design and Rehabilitation Contracts for San Diego and Imperial Counties

NV5 Holdings, Inc. (the "Company"), a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions, announced today that it has won a series of bridge design and rehabilitation contracts for San Diego County and Imperial County. The Cole Grade Road Bridge and Quarry Road Bridge projects are part of the County of San Diego's Capital Improvements Plan.

The Cole Grade Road Bridge will replace a low flow crossing at the San Luis Rey River from Horse Creek Trail to Valley Center High School, and the Quarry Road Bridge will eliminate a dip in Quarry Road at Spring Valley Creek between SR-125 and the Spring Valley Swap Meet.

In neighboring Imperial County, NV5 will be completing a feasibility study for the Dogwood Bridge over Central Main Canal as part of the County's Capital Projects program, as well as support services for repairs to the New Briar Canal Bridge, an essential component of the Imperial Irrigation District's (IID) 1,675 mile system of canals and laterals. The IID system was designed to divert Colorado River water 50 miles westward along the southern border of the Irrigation District into Imperial County.

"Our bridge design team in Southern California has been doing extraordinary and innovative work for our new clients and existing clients like San Diego County and Imperial County," said Ernesto Aguilar, PE, COO of Infrastructure at NV5. "We are continuing to diversify our client base in this region and the demand for the services of our structures and transportation engineers has increased markedly this year."

"We have been working with both San Diego and Imperial Counties for decades now, and have gained their trust and respect. We are on-call for our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week should they need anything or in the case of an unforeseen event," added Jack Abcarius, PE, Associate at NV5.

About San Diego County
San Diego County is the second-most populous county in California and one of the largest counties in the United States, with over three million residents and spanning more than 4,500 square miles. San Diego County extends from the southern border of Orange County and Riverside County to the north, the United States-Mexico border to the south, and the western border of Imperial County to the east. To the west, San Diego County borders 70 miles of Pacific Ocean coastline and is home to one of the largest ports in California as well as sixteen naval and military installations. San Diego County was one of the original counties of California included in its statehood in 1850.

About Imperial County
Imperial County was the last county to be established in California in 1907. The County is located in the far southeast corner of California, bordering both Arizona and Mexico, and has a population of roughly 175,000. Although the region is classified as a desert, with high temperatures and low average rainfall of three inches per year, the economy is heavily based on agriculture due to irrigation, supplied wholly from the Colorado River via the All-American Canal.
