Local Authority Contaminated Land Network Success

CIRIA has reported a large increase in the number of local authorities joining its Local Authority Contaminated Land network (LACL). Launched in 2002, LACL helps local authorities deal with new duties and responsibilities under part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

Members can attend training workshops free of charge, receive a directory of network members, are sent a newsletter three times a year and are entitled to one free CIRIA publication. Other member benefits include meeting contaminated land consultants, networking help in implementing cost-effective best practice land management.
