Dow Corning is set to continue their sponsorship and high level participation at the world leading forum for knowledge share and networking for all things glass. The bi-annual Glass Performance Days, which will take place in Tampere, Finland, 24-26 June, offers an unrivalled opportunity to attend a myriad of seminars and workshops which examine trends, legislation and innovation.
As well as presenting Dow Corning silicone solutions for high performance building at the accompanying exhibition, technical experts from Dow Corning will speak and facilitate sessions on the following topics:
Wednesday 24th June
9:00 am to 1:00pm: An interactive half day workshop (#3) entitled Structural Silicone Glazing and Next Generation Bonding Technologies – Optimising Design and Performance in Facade Systems.

Thursday 25th June
9:50 am: A collaborative presentation based on a co-authored paper entitled ‘Thermal Performance of High Performance Shadow Boxes, Modelling and Testing’ to be given by Dan Bettenhausen of Enclos. This presentation will be featured in the Architectural Challenges & Solutions and Facades full day session, chaired by Dow Corning Industry Scientist Larry Carbary and Specialist/Designer at Kuraray, Valerie Block.
1:45 pm: High Performance Curtain Wall Solutions – Optimization by Simulations, as part of the Glass and Sustainability Session

Friday 26th June
11:25 am: Structural Silicone Glazed Curtain Walls – Beyond ETAG 002, as part of the Glass Bonding and Point Fixing session

2:10 pm: Validation of Hyperelastic Material Models for Silicone Sealants for use in Finite Element Modelling, as part of the Glass Bonding and Point Fixing session
