New Arena in Eskilstuna to be Built by Peab

Peab has been contracted to build a new arena in the area Munktellstaden in Eskilstuna. The client is the Eskilstuna Municipality Fastigheter AB and the contract amounts to approximately SEK 300 million.

- This system helps to Munktellstaden become a vibrant neighborhood in an attractive area in Eskilstuna, and we as a community builder is excited to be part of that journey, says Nils Staffan Andersson, Regional Manager at Peab.

The stadium is designed for sports, concerts, and major trade fairs. It will include about 15,600 square meters, and A-hall is divisible to get more applications. Three telescopic grandstand allows the number of seats can be varied between 3,200 and 3,700. In the arena being built even a B-hall with 500 seats and a C-hall for school sports.

The project will be environmentally certified according to Green Building Gold.

The project will start in June 2015 and is scheduled for completion in May 2017.

The project is reported in the second quarter of 2015.
