Professor Yves Weinand and the two researchers, Christopher Robeller and Sina Nabaei - who just achieved with sucess their thesis at IBOIS EPFL - will present their last researches about Generative Wood Joints and Timber Fabric Structures, at the Advancing Wood Architecture Symposium in Frankfurt.
The event is organized by the Institute for Computational Design at the University of Stuttgart ICD and will be held at the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt, in Germany, on the 27th of March.
Advancing Wood Architectur will offer a comprehensive overview of the new architectural possibilities that are enabled by cutting-edge computational technologies in wood construction. It will provide both an overarching architectural understanding and in-depth technological information through built projects and works of four leading design research groups in Europe : ETH Zurich (Fabio Gramazio & Matthias Kohler), IBOIS EPFL Lausanne (Yves Weinand), ICD UNIVERSITY OF STUTTGART (Achim Menges), ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION LONDON (Martin Self).
