Novus Awards Jacob Contract for Project to Expand Methionine Manufacturing Capacity

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that it was awarded a contract by Novus International, Inc. (“Novus”) to provide technology integration, front-end engineering, design, procurement, and construction services for a project to expand Novus’s manufacturing capacity for ALIMET® feed supplement, a methionine source for poultry and livestock feed.

The new facility, to be located in the United States Gulf Coast region, is being designed to deliver 120 KT of ALIMET per year to meet increasing global demand for methionine.

Company officials did not disclose the anticipated cost of the project.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Executive Vice President of Operations, Gary Mandel, stated, “We are excited to continue building a relationship with Novus through this endeavor and are committed to supporting its vision of providing the world with affordable, wholesome food. Our expertise in project execution, technology transfer, and comprehensive process integration is critical to the success of this complex project.”
