Skanska has signed a contract to complete the construction of the Patricia & Phillip Frost Museum of Science in Miami, Florida, USA. The contract is worth USD 101 M, about SEK 690 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the fourth quarter of 2014.
The new 23,000-square meter Frost Museum of Science is located in Museum Park in downtown Miami, and will replace the existing museum that opened in 1960. The museum is targeting a LEED Platinum rating.
Construction started in May 2014 and is expected to be completed in summer 2016.
