Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. – a leading manufacturer and supplier of engineered wood products for residential, commercial, and industrial applications – today announced that a range of its products have been selected for inclusion in Green Builder® Media’s new VISION House® at Mariposa Meadows.
Ainsworth will also be a sponsor of the project. Ainsworth’s involvement in the Green Builder Media project highlights how its products mix the best of sustainable green building with durability and ease of use.
The VISION House at Mariposa Meadows is located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and Green Builder Media states that the VISION House “will unite extraordinary design, extreme performance, innovative products and intelligent technology. The goal is to demonstrate how homes built in an extreme, high-altitude setting – at over 10,000 ft. elevation – can be optimized for performance, self-sufficiency, durability, and resource management. The project will focus on key sustainability elements such as energy efficiency, renewables, water and resource conservation, healthy indoor air quality, durability, and enabling technologies."
The Ainsworth products that will be used in the VISION House include Ainsworth’s pointSIX® Durastrand Flooring; Ainsworth’s SteadiTred® stair treads; Ainsworth’s Rimboard, and Ainsworth’s Jumbo OSB panels.

“Ainsworth’s OSB products are recognized for their ‘green’ attributes; they’re made from wood fiber, and are harvested within stringent environmental guidelines, making them a natural fit for the VISION House at Mariposa Meadows,” said Ainsworth’s Mark Sutherland, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We’re honored to be included in this remarkable Green Builder Media project.”
