Becknell Industrial Commences Construction on Built-to-Suit Facility for Poynter Sheet Metal

Becknell Industrial announced today that construction is now underway on a 100,440-square-foot, built-to-suit industrial facility for Poynter Sheet Metal, Indiana's largest full-service sheet metal and custom metal crafter. The new state of the art fabrication facility is being built on 8.6 acres within the Precedent South Business Park in Greenwood, Indiana and is scheduled for delivery later this year.

Mark Writt with CBRE represented Poynter Sheet Metal in the transaction and The Peterson Company will serve as Becknell's general contractor.

Poynter's new facility will feature, 28Œ clear height, 8 dock doors, three drive-in doors, 50Œ x 50Œ column spacing and abundant car and trailer parking. The facility also will include 12,000 square feet of office space and be fully protected by an ESFR fire suppression system. In addition, the building is expandable by more than 54,000 square feet.

"Becknell and Peterson were able to put together an aggressive schedule that met our needs," said Joseph Lansdell, President, Poynter Sheet Metal. "Not only will this facility serve as our corporate headquarters for our 300 employees, but it will also house fabrication, engineering and sales functions."
