Today, Bluebeam® Software announces plans to bring Bluebeam’s digital document management and collaboration solutions to the Japanese architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. Panasonic and Bluebeam are collaborating to enable AEC professionals in Japan to digitally access, manage and share project files globally.
Panasonic and Bluebeam have been collaborating together to develop better solutions for the AEC industry for several years. The two companies have been working together for research and development, product testing and promotion of Panasonic’s 4K tablet designed to enhance how AEC professionals interact with digital drawings. This next step in the collaboration will enable Japanese firms to leverage Bluebeam’s flagship PDF-based solution, Revu®, to electronically create, markup and edit project documents.
Integrated into Revu is the cloud-based collaboration solution, Bluebeam Studio™, which allows project teams to securely store, share and manage PDFs, and other file types, in real time or anytime with partners around the world. Panasonic will host Bluebeam Studio servers to meet local requirements and market expectations. Bluebeam Revu, with Bluebeam Studio, will be available throughout Japan later this year via Panasonic’s distribution network and channel in the region.
“Bluebeam’s innovative solutions push the limits of project management and collaboration,” says Richard Lee, Bluebeam Software President and CEO. “As Bluebeam’s global footprint expands, partnering with the strength of Panasonic enables our Japanese design and construction colleagues to join digital workflow conversations and, ultimately, deliver better project results.”
“Panasonic is providing access to innovative Bluebeam technology that will help Japanese customers to efficiently increase productivity,” says Masao Ito, who is Panasonic Corporation AVC Networks Company Business Development Center Marketing Office General Manager.
