Following the success of its Part H seminars last year, Wavin Plastics will again be hosting a series of short lunchtime seminars to educate subcontractors, construction companies and specifiers about Part H of the Building Regulations throughout 2006.
The seminars will cover a wide variety of subject areas relating to Part H and in particular how the regulations promote sustainable urban drainage and how this affects changes in site practice. The regulations were updated to reflect recently introduced health and safety legislation. In addition to the changes to the Building Regulations, other topics covered will include the future of house designs and various new product solutions.
The seminars will also look at the range of products offered by Wavin to deal with Part H, such as non-entry inspection chambers, rainwater drainage, attenuation and soakaways.
“The amendments to Part H of the Building Regulations have placed much greater responsibility on local authorities, water companies and contractors to demonstrate compliance, as well as introducing changes to below ground drainage and waste disposal requirements,” commented Denise O’Leary, Wavin Plastics Limited.
“As a leading manufacturer and solutions provider, we feel it is important to provide expert advice and training to help customers understand the implications of legislative changes and provide them with up-to-date information on our product ranges and solutions.”
The seminars will be held at Wavin’s Visitor Academy in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Please contact Eloise Jones for more information and to confirm the latest seminar schedule on 01249 766699 or email [email protected].
These seminars form part of the ongoing education programme on offer from The Wavin Visitor Academy, which includes Underfloor Heating seminars scheduled throughout 2006.
