S&T Bank Plans to Replace Current Indian Springs Location with New Tech-Focused Office Building

S&T Bank (S&T), a full-service financial institution with assets of $4.7 billion, branch locations in 12 Pennsylvania counties, and loan production offices in northeast and central Ohio, is pleased to announce plans for a new branch prototype, which will replace the current Indian Springs location. The new office will incorporate updated technological features aimed to enrich the customer experience.

"We are excited to begin construction on our newest and most innovative branch," said Todd D. Brice, President and Chief Executive Officer of S&T Bank. "With our customers in mind, the choice to remain at the present site, bolstered with the most up-to-date technological offerings, is an exciting step to provide our loyal customers the most modern banking experience, while remaining a community-focused bank at heart."

New technological features will include an interactive tech bar with tablets loaded with helpful resources and free in-branch Wi-Fi service to make banking easier for customers. The wireless hotspot will allow customers to use their own laptops, tablets, and smart phones to access the Internet. Customer service representatives will assist customers with downloading and using the mobile banking app or online banking. To provide added convenience, the branch will have a video conferencing area to connect customers to S&T experts remotely, and a self-contained cash-dispensing machine to streamline cash transactions.

To continue finding ways to realize improved energy efficiencies, the new location will also feature LED lighting with sensors in the parking area, illuminating the area when cars drive onto the lot, and 98 percent LED lighting inside the store.

"With an aim to open the new branch by the end of 2014, we hope the updated office will serve as a construction model for future S&T Bank locations," said Becky Stapleton, senior executive vice president, chief banking officer, S&T Bank. "In addition to the new technology offered, the branch will also include convenient access to all lines of business including wealth management, insurance, mortgages, business banking, and consumer lending needs."

Construction will begin on the new Indian Springs location immediately, with the current branch building remaining open throughout development.
