Energy Surcharge For Brick Products

Baggeridge Brick has announced that it has come under extreme pressure as a business due to the extraordinary increases in gas prices since November. They now advise that as from Monday 9th January 2006 it will become necessary to impose an energy surcharge to a wide range of their products.

On all products despatched from Kingsbury, Sedgley Hartlebury 1 and Rudgwick factories and all special bricks will be surcharged as per the details below and for the time being no surcharge will be applied to Hartlebury 2 and Waresley products. They had hoped that by this time the UK would have recovered from the unseasonably severe weather experienced in the second half of November and this would result in some respite from the high prices of gas that resulted. Unfortunately although temperatures have returned to a level that is much nearer the norm, gas prices have only marginally reduced and are forecast to remain considerably higher than the levels anticipated when pricing policy was set for the coming year. The surcharge will be reviewed at the end of January and the level will be adjusted in line with energy prices.

Baggeridge hope that this charge will only remain in place for a limited period and will enable them to continue manufacturing at current levels of production to ensure there is no disruption to availability of product. It is regrettable that this course of action has now become necessary.

• All Specials Bricks (any colour) £50.00 per 1,000 Nett
• All Blue Paving Products £50.00 per 1,000 Nett
• All Red/Buff Paving Products £20.00 per 1,000 Nett
• All Hartlebury 1 Products £30.00 per 1,000 Nett
• All Rudgwick Products £25.00 per 1,000 Nett
