NeoCon: IdeaPaint to Launch Advanced Dry Erase Paint Products

IdeaPaint, the leader and innovator in workplace collaboration technology, will launch improvements to their industry leading products IdeaPaint CLEAR and IdeaPaint PRO at NeoCon.

IdeaPaint PRO, the category’s first high-performance, patent pending dry erase formula, and the most durable dry erase coating available will now be odor free, low VOC, LEED compliant, UL GREENGUARD Gold certified and comes with a lifetime warranty, making it the ideal environmentally-friendly product for interior designers, architects and contractors looking for a pigmented dry erase surface.

IdeaPaint CLEAR is the only clear, patent pending, dry erase coating available that can be roller or spray applied, is isocyanate free, Tin free, LEED compliant and UL GREENGUARD Gold certified. IdeaPaint CLEAR may be applied over any color paint allowing for seamless integration of dry erase functionality regardless of a space’s color palette.

NeoCon attendees are invited to see and try both new products at IdeaPaint’s NeoCon Booth 8-1105 as well as experience an IdeaPaint wall in action on the 7th Floor of The Merchandise Mart.

As the inventor of Dry Erase Paint, IdeaPaint continues to lead innovation in the category as its internal R&D Lab continuously develops better, safer and more economical products. The company works in tandem with the architecture and design community to find new ways to leverage writable surfaces inside some of the world’s most innovative workspaces such as Apple, Zappos, PayPal, Harvard, MIT, Quicken Loans, LinkedIn and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, among others.

IdeaPaint will also make other key announcements at NeoCon including:

  • New Direct Sales Force to Better Service the Architecture and Design community
    • IdeaPaint has put a dedicated, experienced direct sales force in place to better serve the growing needs of the architecture and design community, thereby replacing its previous independent representation. With this move, customers and prospects will realize the following benefits:
      • Faster, more personal service
      • Greater design insight and innovation
      • Advice on how to best maximize a collaborative space
    • IdeaPaint POWDER Partnerships
      • At NeoCon 2013, IdeaPaint launched IdeaPaint POWDER, a proprietary powder coating that can transform any bent, curved or flat metal substrate into a high-performance dry erase surface. IdeaPaint is pleased to announce that it has been working with two partners, Watson Furniture and Ghent, who have realized the potential of IdeaPaint POWDER and its ability to unlock new ways of providing more frictionless and collaborative office space via their development of writable furniture and moveable writing surfaces.
    • Special Giveaways for NeoCon attendees
      • Two IdeaPaint 100 square ft. kits (retail value: $425.00 per kit) will be given away each day of the show (June 9, 10 and 11). Attendees can register for the giveaways at either the IdeaPaint Booth 8-1105 or at the IdeaPaint walls on the Seventh Floor of The Merchandise Mart.

“2014 is shaping up to be the breakthrough year for IdeaPaint and our presence at NeoCon will reflect our tremendous growth and momentum in the office design and building sector,” said IdeaPaint President John Stephans. “Writable surfaces have emerged as a must have feature for new and re-designed offices and we are pleased to be at the forefront of this revolution. NeoCon will give us a great opportunity to introduce our unique communication technology to thousands of people looking for new ways to revitalize their workspaces while facilitating greater collaboration and innovation across their organizations.”

Writable surfaces have emerged as one of the hottest design trends of 2014 – which coincides with an uptick in workplace design spending. Organizations are poised to spend more on new and re-designed workspaces in the coming years. According to the American Institute of Architects, non-residential construction will grow by 7.2% in 2014. And, the Interior Design Billings Index, produced by the American Society of Interior Designers, projects steady, continuous growth in the office design space this year. With this uptick in office building, design and architecture projects, professionals in those industries are adding more writable surfaces as a way to add instant value and creativity to new and re-designed spaces quickly and cost-effectively.
