Hellas Construction Selected for New Westlake Village & Triunfo YMCA Project

As part of the Westlake Village & Triunfo YMCA project, the client selected Austin-based contractor Hellas Construction to provide the surfacing on two baseball fields and rough grading on three fields as part of phase one for the project consisting of three phases.

The new park and YMCA will serve 20,000 area residents annually, enriching and strengthening the quality of life in the region.

"The project is a cornerstone in the community serving all generations from babies to older adults and we are excited about the addition of the athletic fields that will be used by our residents," said Ronnie Stone, Executive Director of the Triunfo YMCA.

The joint project will result in a stunning new 18-acre site in Westlake Village housing a new active park along with the Triunfo YMCA family center located on the north side of Thousand Oaks Boulevard, west of Lindero Canyon Road. The project has been in the making for over ten years due to it being a one-of-a-kind collaborative project with three entities including the Canyon Oaks Homeowner's Association, the YMCA, and the City of Westlake Village. The City and YMCA are undertaking a joint fundraising campaign to cover the costs of their planned improvements. In addition, billionaire David Murdock contributed a $10 million donation, which helped fund the startup costs for the new YMCA.

"With our recent work at Oaks Christian High School, we are excited to be back in Westlake Village, California, and be part of this development for the City and YMCA. It's projects like this that truly showcase our capabilities of providing in-house design build services," said Reed Seaton, President & CEO, Hellas Construction.
