PCL Construction Announces Completion of Upgrades to Los Angeles Dodger Stadium

PCL Construction is pleased to announce that it has completed numerous upgrades to the Dodgers' iconic, 1962 stadium. The upgrades will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new plaza area and the Tommy Lasorda Trattoria, TODAY, Wednesday, March 26 at 4 p.m. at Dodger Stadium (1000 Elysian Park Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012).

Attending the ceremony will be PCL District Manager Jack Sample, Dodger President Stan Kasten, and Hall of Fame Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda, among others. PCL's upgrades to the Dodger Stadium for the upcoming 2014 baseball season expand on upgrades that began in 2012 to make the stadium a world-class, family-friendly Major League Baseball venue.

Jack Sample, PCL Construction's District Manager says, "It's very rewarding to work on such an iconic project. We're pleased that PCL's work will help make millions of Dodgers fans more comfortable when visiting the famed Dodger Stadium. Last season, Dodger Stadium led Major League Baseball in attendance with 3,743,527 fans."

PCL's improvements include new entrances on the north side of the stadium, with new team stores, concessions, and memorabilia. The renovations also bring new food services such as Tommy Lasorda's Italian and hot-off-the-grill BBQ, and an expansion of the popular La Taqueria. The visiting team clubhouse has been relocated near the visiting dugout, and electrical and landscaping upgrades were completed to support the historic stadium. The renovations help celebrate the Dodgers legacy, including its famous seasons in Brooklyn, NY, as well as its five-plus decades in Los Angeles.

Architects for the upgrades include Boston-based D'Agostino Izzo & Quirk, Los Angeles-based Levin & Associates, and Los Angeles landscape architects Mia Lehrer & Associates. PCL Construction of Glendale, CA, was the construction manager.
