Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a unique new cordless drill/driver that is the smallest, lightest and most powerful of its type on the market.
The PowerMaxx, which features a 4.8 volt battery that drives up to 95 #10 x 1” screws on one charge, is ideal for assembly work, carpentry, electrical work, or any other application that requires getting into tight spaces. PowerMaxx weighs only 1.5 lbs and is ergonomically designed for user comfort and easy operation. The slim handle reduces user fatigue. The switch is designed for both right- and left-handed operation and the forward/reverse lever can be switched with just one finger. The magnetic 1/4" hex tool holder guarantees a quick bit change and the screwdriver converts to a drill in just seconds. An infinitely variable speed trigger switch makes it easy to start screws in any material.
The tool's unique two-speed gearbox and soft-start motor deliver a no-load speed of 0-200 rpm in screw mode and 0-600 rpm in drill mode. The PowerMaxx can drill up to 1/8" in steel and 1/4" in soft wood. Adjustable torque settings ensure proper torque for each job. Maximum torque is 80 in.-lbs. The gear housing is constructed of industrial strength metal to ensure a long service life. The unique offset screw driving attachment rotates 360°.
PowerMaxx Plus includes a heavy duty carrying case plus two batteries, a charger, an offset driving attachment and a chuck. The battery fully charges in less than two hours.
