CAHG, a leading professional healthcare communications agency and the lead U.S. agency within the TBWA\WorldHealth global network, is moving its offices in Chicago to a newly renovated space at 225 North Michigan Avenue.
Designed by an award-winning architectural and design firm, the interior features an open plan created specifically to support CAHG's service model that promotes collaboration and custom-configured teams.
"Our new space will allow for heightened collaboration and innovation by bringing together the best talent for each brand from across practice disciplines. The design strategy was to promote connectivity among people, processes and resources," said Scott Cotherman, CAHG President and CEO, and Chairman of TBWA\WorldHealth.
Beginning July 22, the CAHG Chicago staff will occupy the 14th floor. The move brings CAHG under the same roof as several other Omnicom companies, including OMD, Energy BBDO, Resolution Media and TPN. "Being in the same building will help promote integrated marketing solutions across all disciplines," Mr. Cotherman said. "We currently enjoy that benefit in our New York and San Francisco offices and look forward to a similar set-up in our flagship Chicago office."
Also enhancing CAHG's offering to clients, the space is equipped with advanced technology to help foster innovation across digital platforms and software programs. Consistent with CAHG's drive for collaboration, mobility and efficiency, cutting-edge technologies and interactive tools have been incorporated into the design of the space. This includes touch-screen, interactive monitors; specialized collaboration tools, such as ClickShare and MediaScape; a comprehensive encrypted WiFi network; Point-to-Point secure video communication tools; and Cloud-based file-sharing systems.
"The combination of this new space, with the agency's offices in New York and a newly opened office in San Francisco gives CAHG a strong presence in the three most important U.S. healthcare markets," says Cotherman. In May, CAHG opened the California office to service West Coast clients and prospects and to expand access to top talent across the U.S.
The Chicago building is part of Michigan Plaza, a complex in the downtown East Loop at the heart of the thoroughfare between the Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park. Michigan Plaza is the largest office complex with the only outdoor landscaped plaza on Michigan Avenue.
CAHG's space was designed by Gensler, a global firm recognized for creating work environments that augment organizational performance. Jason Hall, lead designer at Gensler stated, "In effect, the space becomes a social bridge that allows CAHG's teams to see and feel the process of creative work. We planned the places where people overlap, such as conference rooms, team rooms and the cafe, along the main central space and created places for inspiration with special materials and architectural treatments. In the end, this will help teams of people to overlap more, driving connectivity, creativity and innovation, and nimbleness."
