PwC US opened their new offices on the 8th floor of Fox Tower, located in downtown Portland at 805 SW Broadway.
The PwC office will occupy the entire 8th floor of the building and features a progressive design with many innovative features. Signaling its faith and commitment to an exciting and thriving part of the city, PwC built the space to accommodate its future growth plans. One of the largest professional services firms in Portland is seeing increased demand for its services and is optimistic about its long-term growth prospects.
“We see a bright future in Portland and are excited to continue our long legacy of providing quality services to our clients in the market,” said Roger Mills managing partner of PwC's Portland office. “We also plan to continue our work in the community, with a focus on helping local schools and organizations improve child development.”
The new office design was developed specifically for PwC based on feedback from its employees and will allow the firm to better meet current and future workplace and operational needs.
“We implemented a new workplace design that incorporates a more modern and open floor plan to enhance team collaboration and client service delivery,” said Mills. "As we built out the space, we placed a premium on efficiency and a concern for the environment, personal flexibility and teaming.”
Mills noted that the space will be attuned to today's highly mobile worker with advanced media sharing technologies throughout the office.
As another sign of how PwC is responding to how today's employees work, staff have access to walking workstations to promote a healthy lifestyle, a private mother's room to meet the needs of nursing women, and interactive cafes with lounge areas to provide a space for social gatherings and team meetings.
The building is Gold LEED certified and features many environmentally-friendly attributes as well as a workout facility and locker rooms and a bike storage room in the building. Additionally, the office is located within walking distance of TriMet's MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail. The new space is also centrally located to a number of local restaurants, hotels and public transportation.
