Home Improvement on the Increase as Custom Home Building Decreases

Bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, attic remodeling and basement remodeling are on the rise.

Renovation Experts.com, a premium network of over 3000 remodeling contractors, today published September 2005 statistics showing a serious decline in homeowners who are looking to have a custom home built by a residential general contractor.

Conversely, statistics show an increase in the number of homeowners who are looking to perform a home improvement type renovation.

The report is good news for remodeling contractors but is discouraging for building contractors. Bathroom remodeling and kitchen remodeling increased marginally by half of a percent and homeowners who were looking to hire a residential general contractor to carry out a basement remodel or attic remodel increased by 1.6% over September 2004.

Renovation Experts.com helps over 20,000 homeowners each month across the USA to find a contractor to complete a home improvement.

"Demand for home improvement remodeling is obviously on the increase and contractors will need to make adjustments to satisfy the increased demand in home improvement," stated company president Craig Lucas.
