Andrew Roby, Inc. is finishing renovations on the house that will be featured in DIY Network's upcoming season of Blog Cabin. Viewers can see the transformation of the 19th century waterfront cottage in Atlantic, N.C., when the show premiers July 29 at 9:30 p.m.
In its seventh season, Blog Cabin is the first-ever interactive home-building TV series that invites viewers and fans to help design a house in hopes of winning the finished product. This year's project is transforming a 1,600-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bath beach cottage into a modern-day coastal retreat.
So far, more than 1.5 million people have voted on a wide range of decisions for the house – from the paint palette to the ceiling style for the family room, and from the kitchen layout to the mailbox materials.
"The Blog Cabin process – with millions of people making critical renovation decisions – has been fascinating for us," said Andrew Roby Vice President Ryan Crosser . "As we've been working on this project with cameras all around, we've been imagining the fortunate winners of this gorgeous home."
"Blog Cabin is truly the coolest multimedia experience for home renovation junkies," said host Chris Grundy . "Viewers get a chance to win the ultimate grand prize – a coastal beach retreat."
Voting is currently under way at www.diynetwork.com/BlogCabin on housewarming gifts for the lucky winner of the home. From Monday, July 29 to Friday, Sept. 13, viewers can also enter the 2013 Blog Cabin Sweepstakes on www.diynetwork.com/BlogCabin for a chance to win the home.
